As a Vice President at Moelis & Company, Afif developed cutting-edge valuation capabilities including basin-scale inventory placement, automated PDP decline, machine-learning-driven type curves and design optimization, and history-matched financial modeling. The capabilities delivered differentiated insights, and enabled rapid evaluation of assets with tens of thousands of wells and undeveloped locations across major U.S. basins and supported multi-billion-dollar upstream transactions.

Prior to investment banking, Afif held reservoir engineering leadership roles at ExxonMobil and XTO Energy, where he directed capital deployment across multi-rig development programs, led field pilots incorporating advanced completion and fiber diagnostics, and built basin-scale development planning and valuation tools to guide live operational and capital allocation decisions.
